Ukulele Instructor for Chicago Public Schools

Looking for uke players who love children, are willing to learn how to engage children of all ages through training, and want to grow their teaching practice!  

We have class openings during after school hours, with opportunity to grow these hours to private lessons and more.  

Skills & Qualifications: 
  • Create and deliver effective instruction that engages young learners in ways that empower positive classroom management
  • Collaborate with Music House admin to provide quality performances of your class twice a year
  • Concert performances each semester 

Possible Classes:

  • Beginning Uke, mostly kindergarteners and first graders (training available)
  • Intermediate Uke, first grade and up
  • Advanced Uke, second grade and up

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors in Music 
  • Excellent personable skills
  • Reliabe Transportation
  • Teaching experience preferred


Scheduling Possibilities:

  • Monday and Wednesday, 3:45-4:45 in West Loop
  • Monday and Wednesday, 4:00-5:15 in West Loop
  • Tuesday and Thursdays, 8:00am- 8:45am in West Ridge
  • Training days required for unexperienced teachers, schedule TBA
