Summer Camp Counselors - Elmhurst Art Museum

The Elmhurst Art Museum seeks college students or college bound seniors for seasonal, part-time counselors in our exciting youth summer camps. This is a terrific opportunity for dynamic, high-energy applicants who are interested in education, visual art, or museum work.

 

Duties:

  • Prepare and organize art materials as instructed

  • Keep campers engaged and interested with fun and creative projects

  • Follow and execute activities according to the direction of EAM Instructors and Staff

  • Display a positive and respectful attitude while acting as a role model 

  • Interact with kids and adults in a professional and courteous manner

  • Communicate effectively and show integrity as a museum representative both on and off site

  • Follow procedures and expectations as outlines by EAM Instructors and Staff Maintaining a safe environment

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications: 
  • Prior experience working with children or families

  • Art enthusiast - while previous art making experience is helpful it isn’t required

  • Ability to follow detailed directions and a willingness to jump in and help instructors

  • A prompt and professional manner

  • Availability Mondays through Fridays June 11 - August 10th.
