New American Folk Theatre is seeking a Stage Manager for Hot Pink

New American Folk Theatre is seeking a stage manager for the Midwest premier of Johnny Drago's Hot Pink or Ready to Blow - a totally 80's high school sex comedy. Originally commissioned by the Weird Sisters Theatre Project in Atlanta, a company dedicated to providing more opportunities for women in theatre, Hot Pink tells the story of New Pompeii, a "perfectly average, perfectly normal, perfectly middle-American town" that just happens to sit atop a rumbling volcano. When New Pompeii's annual sacrifice fails to satisfy the local volcano's appetite for virgins, three totally 80's teenage girls concoct a brilliant plan to save themselves. This fearless twist on the classic, horny high school comedy incinerates double standards, as our heroines take control of their destiny by following one simple rule: Get laid or die trying! Derek Van Barham will direct.
