Art Teacher | Insight Fine Art Studio

Insight Fine Art Studio offers represntational drawing and painting classes to kids and adults. We are seeking a classically trained, highly skilled artist to teach at the studio in both our kids and adult classes. 

We are currently seeking an instructor who can teach two classes on Tuesday (4 to 6 PM for kids, 7 to 10PM  for adults) as well as a weekly Thursday 4 to 6 class. There is potential to add additional classes to your schedule as the studio grows. Occasionally, the instructor will be asked to sub for other weekly classes. Please have some flexibility in your schedule if you are applying to this position. 

Your teaching style should be patient, friendly and encouraging. You should be able to give step by step instruction, to assess student skill level and give clear instruction that is appropriately challenging.  Experience working with children is required and related references are required. You must also be able to pass a background check.

Skills & Qualifications: 
The ideal candidate will be a classically trained artist with strong, demonstrated skill in representational drawing and painting.  You must have or be working toward a BFA at minimum, MFA preferred. Be competent to teach in all media, to all skill levels and ages. Your portfolio should demonnstrate your abilities in drawing, (charcoal, graphite, pastel), watercolor, acrylic painting and oil painting.
