Instructor Bio
For Kathy Hirsh, it always begins with color; luscious, subtle, vibrant, complex color. In both oil and pastel, she starts her paintings with an abstract underpinning of color and works to find the delicate balance between the abstract and representational. Kathy's process is visible and apparent; with playful marks and brushstrokes filling the surfaces of each piece. Her work has been featured in The Artist Magazine, exhibited in shows on the national and international level, and is included in private collections throughout the world.
