Experimental Landscape: From Outside to Inside Workshop with Melissa Oresky | Peninsula School of Art

Monday, July 9, 2018 (All day) to Tuesday, July 10, 2018 (All day)

Concept and Experience
This multimedia workshop will focus on ways that artists can engage with the landscape and outdoor environment. Explore methods to examine, document, and translate your experiences from outside to the studio.

The first day of this workshop will emphasize observation - walking, sitting, listening, touching, looking from various locations and vantage points within Peninsula State Park, followed by time to record and document. On the second day, meet in the studio to share, organize, and construct artworks using your documentation as the raw material. Suitable for all levels, but those with an exisiting practice in a visual or non-visual medium will most benefit.

Open to all levels and media.
