Open call for Black artists-- 2d, experimental, classic, poets, musical, performance, and all mediums (except sculpture).
We look for works that explore the complexity and the significance of Juneteenth.
Works that contemplate being free and Black in America throughout time.
Pitch us your ideas and/or your works.
This will be a month-long show at Jimmy Beans Art Gallery in Logan Square.
The deadline for submission is Friday, June 1st.
Set-up will be Friday, June 8th.
The opening reception on Saturday, June 9th.
And a special celebration on Tuesday, June 19th.
The show will end July 9th.
